I had to share my new plates for my cherry girl (my 4runner).
I got home tonight from soccer and was surprised I was getting new plates. I'm just a girl... Yes I pay all the bills at work & home. I manage our business... But what I get the DoL bill I just write the check out and I'm done. I didn't read the fine print on why I was paying 90.00 instead of 35.00. I just figured that also went up like everything else in life.

Boy was I wrong...

This made my day, week & month all in 5 seconds.... I looked at Len and my favorite expression rolled out of my mouth....

Then I turned the plates around to show him.
He smirk & laughed with a small comment under his breath... That's Boo like.
Really... Boo like??!! Oh well... A good laugh was need in my life.

Things are a little better. I hope I'm pulling this rut around that has been over my head for months... more like a year. I just haven't shared it with you all.

Oh... where is my head??

I forgot to post some of my layouts. (on monday's miles of smiles) I swear if my head wasn't attached to my body! Now now... be nice. haha Not a very good shot but this is LJ skatin to school. Miles of smiles....

As in the past on Mondays I always posted things that brought a smile to my face....

So, in trying to get back into the swing of things in my life... Here are a few things that the past month has brought joy to my heart & a smile to my face.....

Kaia.... aww this dog is a joy to have in my life. It was weird the other day when I was at the Moser's. Kaia wasn't there. SO WEIRD not having here jump on me kissing my all over. It felt so wrong. (gotta love her hair all flopped in front of her face)

I ripped parted my scrap room this past week & I'm sure it will be a bit till it's all back together....

Below picture is all albums in progress to unused... I'm thinking of having the book case out and having it custom to fit.

I finally got my Bellingham blanket... SO warm and cozy. I'm sure I won't be cold any more on a soccer field next year. (hahahaha)

Jello shots... I all can say to these are if you have mixology app on your ipod or iphone is they are strong. I'm not complaining but wow.... the orange ones are "sex on the beach" red ones are "strawberry margaritas" two sizes... 1oz & 2oz... (green tub is the 1oz size) I love the fact if you make to many they last a bit... Can you say night cap for me instead of wine!

Tina had here birthday party this last Friday night... Why I made jello shots....

Kim & I got Tina her own scrapbooking cart!!! Trisha & Carol are next....

My work place... I work in a very messy environment!!! BUT look what I got done.

You never know what you will do at 3 am.... Rita, Trisha & I were the only 3 left up. Taking picture's of all kinds of things. I turn around and saw all 3 of we us. so... "girls let's take a pic of us this way...

This pic is a little different... I am behind LJ. You can see how he is growing.... BUT it is really weird how his face is in front of mind & my hair frames him.....

Lessons by LJ...

This last week I've had the pleasure of watching Matt & LJ all week. Each morning Matt or LJ have shown me something. If it is a new app for the ipod, playing a new game or something else.

I think my two favorite lessons were by LJ...

• Unicycling 101
• Snowboarding 101

Yes, you are reading this right.
1st Leah on unicycle & a snowboard. Ummmmm

Snowboarding is safer due to no snow in a living room... haha
But being on a unicycle... the thought of "oh no Leah... you shouldn't"
(Just runs though my head)

Let me set the stage for ya... (Unicycling 101)

LJ: Leah come here.

Leah:Why?

LJ: I what to give you a lesson on my unicycle.

Leah: Ohhhh no LJ I really don't think that's a great idea. You know me??

LJ: A giggle and a smirk is made... ya but here... as Jake is tossing couch pillows on the floor for padding.

Leah: (saying this in my head) really LJ!

LJ: Now Leah I'm waiting.

I go over to the bike and all I can do is think how do I get myself into always saying yes to this boy... oooOooo I know. I wrapped. (big time)

LJ: he tells me how to mount the bike.

You must have the petals just right to get on it and plant your bum firm and hard on the sit.

Here is the visual now.. Leah is now sitting on this bike holding on to the door jam for dear life.

LJ is in front of me telling me to go... Me laughing so hard I can't.

I start to petal the dang thing and I go forward and leaning way to much forward BUT I didn't fall. I got right back on it and did this this for about 4 times till I told LJ to take my hand. I felt like that kid who just got there training wheels off their bike for the first time. No joke...

I did go a few feet with LJ help. Not as easy as it looks. But I can tell you this. I will keep trying. It was fun. Plus it would be way cool to do this at my age!!!

Snowboarding 101....

A few weeks ago LJ got the GREEN light to do anything he wants and snowboarding if high on his list.

On Thursday LJ comes down with Matt's old board. It is just right for him.

Again let me set the stage...

LJ: Leah stand up and lets see if this board is the right size.

Leah: (giggling to her self) Ok...

LJ: well you are about 2 inches taller for this broad but it will work of today.
Leah:Ummm ok. Now what?
LJ:Sit on the couch & we need to see if the boots fit you. Now you need to know I can wear Jake's high top tennis haha. He begins to tell me how to lace then and tie them... Again I know how to lace & tie them cause they are like hockey skates. I played hockey in 8th grade.
Leah:ok is this good??
LJ:Now I want you to stand up and jump up high.
Leah:What?? Jump with a broad strapped to me feet... this klutz.
LJ:Yes you can do it.
So I jumped... it was easy & I didn't even feel unbalance. :)
Leah: ok now what??
LJ: I want to to jump again and turn around half way.
Leah:I am so giggling inside my head. This kid kills me. So I did it.. that was easy too.
You get the idea now and Jake likes to teach me things all the time.

I will be learning guitar soon LJ is back to guitar club again.

I have to share with you all that the past year in my life has been very different. Some good & some bad. I like to pride myself to see things half full in the glass of life. BUT lately I'm very much feel like I'm losing the battle in that category.

I am glad that Matt & LJ can always put a smile on my face..

I will update you all soon... my life is unbalance to say the least as I would like it.

I would love to say I'm flying high and the world is at my feet and I'm dancing the jig...
BUT it isn't.

I heard this song a few days ago & I have to say it made me cry... Life is so weird these days. Vague I know but when you are in any kind of relationship if it's with family, a friend, or a spouse this song will speak to you. Life can be long and very short. Truly you need to make each day count & live it to the fullest.
