Jake and I had a very fun afternoon yesterday. After we did a few stops.
We stopped at Blvd Park and walked to get a coffee at Woods...
I just love spending the afternoon here .
A great place to go and think when things are bugging me
or when I just need time to reflect on my life.

I was so warm at we took are shoes off and took a tip~toe in the water.
It was cool but not cold.

One of my 2 favorite shots I took of Jake.
He looks so grown up here.

My 2nd favorite shot....

I just love the way the sun reflects off the water...

We had a good time at Mallards for some Ice Cream too!!

Well friends just another peak into my life as Auntie leelee...

Peace out

Only 10 but so grown up for your age...

Jacob... my Jake.. my LJ.
Wow you just make me smile and warm my heart.

This pasted Wed Jake sat me down to talk to me about him going to middle school... hahaha You need to understand that this will not happen to next year. Which I know there is a big chance I'll not be watching him. :(
I know this going into this year. No one had to tell me or sit me down. It's all part of life as the kids we love grow up and move on. Become independent from us. I know Jake will always need me. We have this bond... A bond I'm not sure I can even explain to you all. But our hearts are tied with this invisible string of love. I have it with a few of the kids in my life and I'm very grateful for this love and friendship with them all.

Sorry squirrel... Back to the story.

As I sat there listening to Jake tell me all about him going to middle school and what is looking forward to and what's going to be different (not scary). Jake will be taking the bus next year every day.
So which leads to the next topic...
Leah, I think I need to start taking the bus to school!
Jake likes to walk & skateboard or have me drop him. Dropping him off is what we do the most.
I kept a straight happy face as I was laughing inside. "Who is this kid??" And when did he grow up so fast. I wonder if Jen had a talk about this with him or was it all him?
It was all him. I talked to Jen the next day on it.
So off to the school he went on the bus that day.. I don't stay there and watch him get on. I haven't done that in a year or so... Jen doesn't do the either.
Next day.... Thursday Jake wakes up we start our morning with small talk and breakfast. Then he opens up again to me...
Leah, you do know what kinda scares me?? No Jake what?? This year we have the talk. You know about sex....
Here's me again straight face and laughing on the inside. So we talked it out. I told him this will not be the only time he will have this in school health class is going to be a on going topic. This is only the start and they are only touching on a few things. I think his big brother is filling his head with things. Matt loves to do that and it drives me nuts.
So off to the bus for day two on it.... He walked down a few house to the stop and I got in my car and on my way home.
So here we are one week later and we are back to me taking him.
Reason.....lets just say a strange morning and Jake got freaked out went to a friends house around the corner to get the bus.  I got a call from Jen asking me about the morning. Trust me if I knew I would of stay. Jake's fine... I am sure he'll be wanting to take the bus again. I will be staying till I see him get on. Life we move forward and push though and we become stronger for it.

My follow readers... Jake was creep out by a strange man getting out of his car walking into a house with a gun case. He knew to get out of that area. Go to a safe place. Just like on Saturday he was in the park by his house and there was a "gang" hanging in the park doing things they shouldn't. So him and his friends left. His family has taught him well in his young life and I'm proud of my boy. He called that afternoon and the first thing he said to me was... "why did you let me take the bus??" Me.. in my head was thinking if I could have it my way you would stay 5 (year old) all the time.

I had to share this story.
Reason... my message to all the younger folks in my life...
You all are growing up so fast. Please know how proud I am of all of you.  You are waking up each day with new and old challenges to face.
ALWAYS remember I'm here if you need me. Know each day I say a pray for you to be stronger and safe. To face life with all it has to bring to you and when I'm gone that will never change. I will watch over you from heavens view.
You all fill my life completely and I'm very blessed by that. I think whats hard for me is watching from the sidelines. Wanting to be do more and say more. But if you don't ask I can't help....

Below is a song that I sang to Jake all the time as a baby in my arms as I rocked him to sleep. It still holds true to my heart.
To everyone on my life I give this song to you. I decade it to you and know I will promise to be by your side forever & in my heart. For you are what make me be a better person and keep me stronge.
I love you all....

Peace out

To Anne... with love,

Happy Monday!!

As I went home for lunch today I got a message from my dear Anne.

I met Anne almost a year age though Rita. Now not sure if you all remember me talking about Rita an exchange student from Portugal who was here cause Jake went to Spain.. Yes, a circle of kids who all had a dream to travel and learn in another country.

Funny how it always come back to this one dream someone had...

My dear sweet Anne... this blog is for you today. Miles of smile you bring to each person you touch. I know this to be true cause I see it when the girls talk about you and ask me...
  • How is she??
  • What is she doing??
  • Is she happy to be back and in school??
  • and last is she missing Bellingham and Rita??
Soooo Anne... here's your update.

Life in Lynden is well. Jake is fighting a small cold and low key in the bouncing around. We are enjoying our morning each day. I think I enjoy it more cause I know this is my last full year with him. Next year if I watch him I'm  guessing it will be from 6:30 till the bus leaves at 7:10. But Matt will be home and a Freshmen at high school so how knows.

Each Friday the boys enjoy doughnuts and coffee with me. Milky Way lattes (decaf) of course... haha
this is my fun treat for the week.

Len is almost done with another chapter in the book and working hard at work. Love this man as you know. Life this past year has been challenging to say the least with me and my health. But doing much better and I will survive cause I have too. RIGHT!!

I cut my finger not to long ago as you saw on facebook. It's slowly healing. I think it would do better if I didn't hit it though out the day... yeah not good. I spilt it open again yesterday.

My family is good. We have come a long way this year and are talking more. I would love to find a way to go home and see them but if I'm planning on seeing Europe next year I will have to wait till the following year to go down.

Fun this n that have been going on...
  • Football games Lynden beat Blaine but Bellingham lost to Mt Baker.. :((
  • Movies and dinner with the girls.
  • Trying really hard to learn French (stop laughing) I know I need to learn Spanish too!!!
  • Oct 6 th to 9th we go to Mt Baker to scrap with the girls. I am looking forward to this.
  • Oh my phone die last week for 2 days. yes my new phone. I order a new one and lost everything important like a letter from you I had saved. Texts from Rita I lock... so on and so... grrrr i wasn't happy at all. But what do you do. (but to work though it)
  • I started back at Zumba this week and taking yoga/pilate's with the girls. I will drop that last 20 pds by Christmas!
I know there is more but what...
I haven't taken any pictures but when I do I will updat trust me.

So Anne... miss you and I wish I had my pair of bookend girls in Bellingham. My salt n pepper of my life.
Love you,
your leelee...

Picture time... cuz I have been very behind....

Well I guess I'll start with fun times at Bumpershoot in Seattle...
Of course you have to take a shot the Needle as you are driving into downtown on I-5.

Lake Union... and Jake.

We had a little fun finding licence plates and taking pictures of them.
Each year you start out with a clean US map and as you see a plate you check & color it off.
And by the end of the year you hope you got all 50 States. The Moser's I think have 48 right now.
Good job!!! (and Jake again!)
One booth was a color by number mural.
The colors were in the shapes of food. I had a apple slice...
I don't have the picture but one was of a half of a ham..!! Really.
The group: The Presidents of the United States of America.

On Sunday we did fun things at some of the booths. Toyota gave away free bags so you could carry around all the freebies we were getting. And a cool bandanna. I want to cut this to see if I can do a 2 page layout in my scrapbook. :D

We found a booth giving out orange balloons. The Orange man gang was 3 gals dress all in orange and 1 guy called the Orange Man. This is Jake's balloon. I think he said it was on a 42 foot orange string. My balloon died halfway thru the day. BUT before I put it to rest Jake put a face on it... I think it looks a little like me?!?

Mackelmore & Ryan Lewis. Good preformace.

OK... High School football started last Friday night. The Lynden Lions played Bellingham Raiders.
Hard game for Miss Leah I enjoy cheering on both schools. So I did the next best thing. The 1st half cheered on Lynden and the second half cheered on Bellingham...
Lynden won...

Coin toss.

Not to long ago Len won a contest at work to go see "Little Big Town" at the Show Box.
Here are a few friends we got to bring along to...
L to R.. Ann me Kim Len Sydney Alicia.
We are holding a guitar that we all signed to give to the group. FUN!!

Us meeting the group...

Len and Kim at Pikes Place.
I love going there and getting flowers for like 10.00.

OK... here you are folks Jake painting my scraproom wall.
I have to say it WONDERFUL!!!!

This is a little something I came up with and not finished yet.

Here is the wall almost done. Now you can see the black board is a chalk board with magnet paint under it.
Not sure if you can make it out but there are 2 things on the broad. A message to Rita.. from Jake. And a Betty Boop magnet it's the small white thing next to the HA HA to Miss Rita!

We went to see Daniel Tosh not to long ago at the Mt Baker Theater. What a great show.

Well guys here a snap shot of my life in the past few months. NOW it not everything. But give me some time to platy catch up. Work today was slow so what a great way to spend the day goofing off. At least I wasn't on FB all day like Monday!

Have a great rest of your day!!

peace out<3
