Happy Halloween!!

I love this holiday.. playing dress up and being whatever you want is fun.
Plus handing out candy to the kids is a blast too.

For over 20 years now I been making candy sacks filled with goodies for the kids. But last year I started to hand out full size candy bars to the older kids. So middle school on up.

they wanted to see my house "dec" out. Sorry I really didn't go all out this year. To much going on and things. But it's pretty in it's "FALL" look.

Now on Saturday I took Logan, Cole, Conner and Jake to Scream Fair. It's 4 haunted house in one at our fair grounds here in Lynden.

Jake at the last min didn't want to go in. Which in my book I understand.

Brothers.... I have 4 of them and as a kid they would all the time scare me. So Jake's older brother has done the same thing. So I told him if he did want to go when we got up to pay... he didn't.

So we didn't but next year I think he will be ready for it.

We stool outside the doors waiting for the other 3 and Jake saw it was all fun and when he changed his mind the other boys didn't want to go back though it.

It was a fun weekend and full of surprise.

I have came down to my 2 favorite Pumpkin Bread recipes.

Made Pasta soup.. secret ingredient... 3 cups of red wine! Soooo YUMMY!!!!
Cooked all weekend and as I was baking rolls in my oven the coiling unit blow. I mean blow up and the hold dang oven was dead.

Len was standing in front of it and wow he was shocked. Once we figured it out and found out the problem. Len order the part. So we will see what will be next. Me without a oven. Crazy!! I don't even have burners to use.

This morning I was in the kitchen thinking "WTH" cooking is going to suck. BUT then I remembered...

Yes Fall is here....

I went to the last Bellingham Raider football game last night. And baby it was cold!!

But I love fall nights like what we had. Snuggling up in my Raider blanket drinking some hot coco before the game started.

Yes, indeed a nice night...

Plus it was senior night too!

Indeed fall... today the wind is blowing and the leaves are falling to the ground... beautiful...messy.

But if we didn't have them fall to the ground we wouldn't have a big wonderful pile of leaves to jump into and have fun.

Did you ever do that as a kid... It's been a few years for me. Yup... I love to run and jump and play in the leaves. Just thinking I need to do that again... :D

We were missing a few other seniors last night. Rita, Anne & Jake. Now Rita & Anne are back home in Europe. Finish up their SR year there. BUT will always be Raiders to the end in my book...

And Jake had running start. I wasn't sure if he made it over after. But all 3 of you passed my mind. And as always putting a smile on my face.

Wishing all my my seniors a great year and live it to the fullest.

this and that...

Lately life is filled with this and that.

Been working hard on getting my scrapbook current and keep to my goal of finish this year by Jan 2012.

Spent Sunday at Kim's and got a few pages done. Helping her organize her pattern paper. You would think that's a big deal but when you have alot of paper you forget you have the one cute paper and you go to find it and you can't so you use another one then when your done BAM... there it is.

Now my mind works different then most. I like to play with all my embellishments first and pick out my paper to go with my pictures. It all goes together...
OR I will look at my pictures and says I feel like I want to have this type of pattern paper on my page. I go to the the file and pick out what looks good to the pictures.
But I love it the most when I just look at a picture and my mind goes to town... It's a strange thing the way it works. Some of my friends just can't believe it and offen say "how... how do you do that" Me: what... just come up with a idea and go to town. IDK"I don't know" It's just me...

So my room is in that last stage of putting things back on the walls. I have to find someone to build my book case. I can't find what I really want.

The Firs...

This past weekend I got to go back up to Baker to scrap with a lot of amazing woman and see old friends.

I look forward to this all year long. I love the drive up to the mountain. The colors this time of the year are beautiful too.. Fall is my second favorite season of all time.

I got some scraping done for this years album and that made me real happy. My goal is to have all the year done by the end of Jan 2012. So I have a lot more scraping to do. And LOTS more pages to finish.

I had a goal of 40 page to do for the whole 4 days. Lets just say I only got 24 done. I did get all my title pages done for the month but you really can't count them. that would be cheating..

I had a few challenges to this weekend too. My blood was up and down so I had a few moments that I didn't feel so well. I dislike it when that happens.
A few personal issues came up. So I was on the phone a lot Thursday & Friday.
Hard to get back into the groove when you stop and start 4 or 5 times. But I did...
The feeling of being lost at what I do best and not be able to finish a page cause I have to stop and refocus myself drives me nuts. At one point on Sat I just wanted to pack my things up and leave. But I didn't I push though it and stayed up to 5 am trying to get more done.

The theme was pajama party... Us girls that I scrap with came up with the idea to sing and dance to Abba's "Take a chance on me" song. WOW it was fun and crazy.
So we all acted like high school girls singing into our hair brushes with a facial mask on our face. haha
It was a site to see.  I was in pig tails too...
I have to post pictures later due to not having them down loaded into my thumb drive. But I will post them.

OH we also Skype with Rita... She looks great and I can't wait to see her next year in Portugal. Len & I are planning a trip to Europe and see family. I will make a few other stops too.... I think we will be gone 3 weeks. Hoping to see Spain, France and Norway too. Lots of pennies are now being saved. I might even need to sell my blood for this trip too. I do know this I am not going home to CA for a bit which makes me real sad. I have been missing my family a lot these days. I would give almost anything  to see my brother Jeff and get one of his hugs. Phone calls are just not doing it. And skyping makes it even worst. But to see Europe and family and Rita and Anne...AND meet Marta (Jake's host mom) is all worth it.

So my miles of smiles day goes out to my scrapbooking girl friends. Cause even on my hard days of highs and lows you are there when I need you.

Thank you for the shoulder I can lean on.
Thank you for the arms that hug me and tell me I will be OK.
Thank you for your hearts.
BUT most of all thank you for all your love and support when I need you the most.
I am truly blessed by you women and I love you!!
